5.5. Online event: Marietta Horster

Prof. Marietta Horster (Johannes Gutenberg-Universität Mainz) will hold a conference on Wednesday 5th May, at 6 p.m. (UTC+2), entitled:

Il Corpus Inscriptionum Latinarum

e l’aggiornamento alle iscrizioni dell’Italia centrale

The Corpus Inscriptionum Latinarum (CIL) is a comprehensive collection of ancient Latin inscriptions, and it forms an authoritative source for researchers who deal with classical antiquity. Prof. Horster is the current director of the project.

Introduction by Prof. Arja Karivieri (director of the Finnish Institute in Rome), who will also lead the eventual discussion session following the conclusive intervetion of Dr. Marco Buonocuore’s (Pontifical Academy of Archaeology).

The event will be held in Italian, and it requires registration in advance via electronic form. The link to the Zoom-event will be then sent via email, to the address indicated in the form.
