Opuscula Instituti Romani Finlandiae

In the 1980s, the Institute published a four-volume series, Opuscula Instituti Romani Finlandiae, which included academic articles by Institute members and public lectures given at the Institute. The fifth volume is a 2016 pamphlet on the value of humanities research.

Published to celebrate the 500th anniversary of Villa Lante, the book features beautiful pictures of the villa and its surroundings, as well as poetry and prose reflections on the Janiculum hill from Antiquity to today. The book is a collaboration between the Finnish Institute in Rome, the friends of Villa Lante, and photography students at Sataedu. The text is in four languages (Finnish, Swedish, English, and Italian).

Villa Lante al Gianicolo (2005)

Published to mark the fiftieth anniversary of the Institute, this book deals not only with the architecture and decoration of Villa Lante, but also for the first time with its later phases, especially the story of the Lante family. Edited by Tancredi Carunchio and Simo Örmä.
